The community group I work with, Friends of North Lake Union, is hosting community meetings on Tuesday September 13th and Tuesday Sept 27th at Miir Flagship store (3400 Stone Way N) at 6:45 pm. We need the community’s input on a plan to improve a piece of shoreline land called Waterway 22 (between Gas Works and Stone Way). We will be doing a brainstorming design session to get an idea of what everyone would like to see happen with this piece of land. We need community input!

I started Wallyhood back in 2008, right when my son was born, because I realized I had lived in the neighborhood since 1993 and didn't really know my neighbors. I figured writing a blog about what was going on around me would be a good way to meet people and help other people do the same. As the years progressed, those neighbors have picked up the torch and it is now a group effort, which I adore. I moved out of Wallingford for a few years (2020 - 2025), but I'm back, now living with my wife, son and dog (Dillinger) up in Tangletown.

About 10 years Center fo rWooden Boats had a large proposal info booth at their annual 4th of July festival.. discussing several options for that area.. including having a facility f theirs there. What happened to that? There ia also a police building there.. they may own some of the property and of course their needs mmust be honored.

Waterway 22 is at the base of Stone Way where it turns into Northlake, not the property pictured in this post (that property as next to the Center for Wooden Boats building).
