Philippino Ice Cream Pop-Up at Poke Stop

Jordan Jordan July 1, 2017 3 Comments

There’s a line stretching down the block at the Poke Stop at Sunnyside and 45th at the moment for a Philippino ice cream pop-up shop, today only until supplies run out.

The ice cream is a passion project for Donald Gacilo, and features unusual flavors as ube (purple yam) and matcha (green tea) served in fish cones.

Check out Donald’s instagram feed, @matchamansea, for luscious shots, and if you stop in, please post a review in the comments!

It sounds like they’ll be back if things work out, and judging from the line, it sure looks like things are working out.

Thank you for this report! We wondered what was happening as we drove past today. I hope they come back – want to try purple yam! (Glad it’s not poke ice cream!)

    It’s spelled “Filipino,” not “Philippino.”
