Monday Night Block Party

Cantinetta (3650 Wallingford Ave N) and the new Union Saloon (3645 Wallingford Ave N) are hosting a block party Monday, and you’re invited! Kate Kilgour of Cantinetta writes:

We are hosting a neighborhood block party on Monday August 14 from 4-8pm as a community appreciation of our customers at Cantinetta. We have joined with Union Saloon across the street to offer free vino, antipasti and dolci. Backyard games will be had!
We are hoping to meet more members of this community and say thank you to those we know.

I’ve been to Cantinetta’s block parties before, and they don’t disappoint on the antipasti, dolci and vino. Nice to see Union Saloon, one of my new favorite bars in Wallingford, joining the fun.

I started Wallyhood back in 2008, right when my son was born, because I realized I had lived in the neighborhood since 1993 and didn't really know my neighbors. I figured writing a blog about what was going on around me would be a good way to meet people and help other people do the same. As the years progressed, those neighbors have picked up the torch and it is now a group effort, which I adore. I moved out of Wallingford for a few years (2020 - 2025), but I'm back, now living with my wife, son and dog (Dillinger) up in Tangletown.
