Goodbye, 2017!

Katy December 30, 2017 Comments are off

Here are a couple of PSAs to send out 2017 on a good note.

If you’re like me, you like to take Christmas decorations down on the last weekend of the year. If you’re also like me, you wind up with a few strands of dead Christmas lights to deal with. You can recycle these at various locations around the city. The city has compiled a list of locations that will take them for recycling. Although there are none in the neighborhood, it looks like you can take them to Ace Hardware in Maple Leaf, or the Lowe’s on Aurora.

If you have plans to go out on New Year’s Eve, you can save money and stay safe by riding Metro buses for FREE all day on December 31st, until 4 a.m. on January 1st. This includes the Seattle Streetcar, DART, and Access services (but not the light rail).

Wishing you a safe, happy, and healthy 2018!
