Shop Local for the Holidays

Jordan December 7, 2017 3 Comments

Gift-giving holidays are right around the corner, so you’re probably wondering what all to get your loved ones, your friends, and those you feel socially obligated to. Fortunately, there are also a number of opportunities to “shop local” here in Wallingford:

The Alliance Française de Seattle hosts Seattle’s only French-inspired Christmas market each year. Since 2010, local vendors have filled the Good Shepherd Center’s Chapel space to sell their handmade jewelry, clothing, home decor, Christmas decorations, baked goods, and more!

Join us again this year, on Saturday, December 9th, from 10am-2pm, on the 4th floor of the Good Shepherd Center (4649 Sunnyside Ave N) to peruse the booths, enjoy a crepe, listen to our choir perform their selection of French songs, and stay for a visit from Santa himself!

The Alliance Française is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization whose mission is to promote the French language, and French and Francophone Cultures. A part of all sales from the event will go towards supporting our cultural and educational efforts.

Lynn Post is offering free delivery in Wallingford (and only in Wallingford) for purchases from her Etsy shops (or 20% off, your choice), Ecoimbiber/Hair of the Dog and Aguavino.

Use the coupon code WALLY20 for 20% off or WALLYSHIP for the free delivery option.

Liz Gamberg is holding her annual art sale Dec 8 – 10th, 11 am – 4 pm  at 1513 N 39th, including ceramics, rugs, textiles and more.

Finally, the newly opened Pacific Northwest Shop is hosting a Sip-n-Shop wine tasting event on Monday, December 11th from 5 – 7 pm.

More that I missed? Let me know in the comments and I’ll update this post.
