Trunk Show at Pacific Northwest Shop

The Pacific Northwest Shop (4411 Wallingford Ave N) is holding a “trunk show” this Saturday, February 10th from noon to 4, featuring three Seattle-based artists. With the Wallingford Art Walk now a thing of the past, we’ll take what we can get!

In store will be a jeweler, a candle maker, and a print artist:

Maple + Mauve
In her Seattle studio, Sera Rogers creates her concrete, ceramic, and wood jewelry inspired by architectural elements. Her work focuses on highlighting raw materiality and clean lines, all with a minimalistic approach.

Olympic Candle Company
Hou Ong and Jerry Kavalieratos work together to create hand-crafted soy-based candles and home fragrance products from Seattle. They produce small batches of specialty products with the aim to surprise and delight time and again.

Orange Twist
Claire Jauregui’s work is designed and screen printed by hand in Seattle. Since 2008, Claire has been injecting humor and handcrafted design into everyday life through color, word play, and puns.

I started Wallyhood back in 2008, right when my son was born, because I realized I had lived in the neighborhood since 1993 and didn't really know my neighbors. I figured writing a blog about what was going on around me would be a good way to meet people and help other people do the same. As the years progressed, those neighbors have picked up the torch and it is now a group effort, which I adore. I moved out of Wallingford for a few years (2020 - 2025), but I'm back, now living with my wife, son and dog (Dillinger) up in Tangletown.
