An Author Reading and Educational Tasting Series at Friday Afternoon Tea

Katy May 16, 2018 Comments are off

Starting today, May 17th, at 5:30pm and for the next few Thursdays, our local tea shop, Friday Afternoon Tea (at 4228 Stone Way N.), is having a series of tea tastings. The first entry in the Educational Tasting Series is a flight of green teas from China and Japan, some steamed and some toasted. Each week they will be sampling different types of teas.

Educational Tasting Series:

5/17 – Green Teas

5/24 – Black Teas

5/31 – Oolong Teas

6/7 – Pu-erh Teas

6/14 – Medicinal Herbs

Also happening this Saturday afternoon (5/19) at 3 p.m. is an author reading from Peter Curtis. The author of The Dragontail Buttonhole and Café Budapest will be reading from the first two books in his trilogy based on his own family’s escape from Nazi-occupied Prague and their journey to freedom in the UK. The event is free and open to all.
