Walk with Historic Wallingford in the Family Parade

  • Post author:

Join us on  Saturday, July 14, as we walk in the 69thannual Wallingford Family Parade – Seattle’s oldest parade! For years, this event was known as the Wallingford Kiddie Parade and has long been affiliated with Seattle’s summer festival – Seafair.

Bagpipers parading down 45th Street – many parades ago.

We’ll gather between 10 and 10:30 a.m. in the grass field at Meridian Park. Please RSVP to [email protected] and sign in with us when you arrive– parade organizers require us to compile a complete list of participants. The parade route leaves Meridian Park headed south on Bagley Avenue, turns west on 45thStreet, and proceeds to Interlake where it ends nearby.

We’ll carry banners and signs with vintage photos, so join us in showing your love for Wallingford!  For information about the parade, visit the official parade website or email us at [email protected].

Pam

I am a recent transplant to the Seattle area from Philadelphia. I love my Seattle neighborhood, and have recently been part of the newly formed Historic Wallingford nonprofit organization. I would like to be able to post on their behalf.
