Car Fire

  • Post author:

A car burst into flames outside the John Stanford School this morning at about 10 am. While it looks like the flames are coming out of the trunk, that’s where the engine is on a Porsche.

The police are there, fire department on the way, nobody was injured.

I started Wallyhood back in 2008, right when my son was born, because I realized I had lived in the neighborhood since 1993 and didn't really know my neighbors. I figured writing a blog about what was going on around me would be a good way to meet people and help other people do the same. As the years progressed, those neighbors have picked up the torch and it is now a group effort, which I adore. I moved out of Wallingford for a few years (2020 - 2025), but I'm back, now living with my wife, son and dog (Dillinger) up in Tangletown.

That beautiful 911. Seeing this makes me very sad.

There are probably some reading your comment right now who are happy to see this example of “priviledge” and user of “free parking” go up in flames.

Nightmare for the owner. Maybe a little older model with an oil cooled engine and a small leak on to the manifold. I had a ’75 targa that had an oil leak. It smoked and left drippings on the garage floor. I got rid of it before this happened!
Thank goodness it wasn’t parked in a garage!

You can probably buff that out….
