Remodeled-Restored Homes Wanted!

Pam April 8, 2019 1 Comment

VOLUNTEERS WHO HAVE REMODELED HOMES WANTED!  Historic Wallingford is sponsoring a “Restore and Remodel Workshop and Home Tour” this September 21.

Are you a home owner / occupant that has remodeled or restored your Wallingford home (house or condo)?  We are looking for ‘Home Tour’ properties in Wallingford to be part of our Remodel/Restore tour along with contractors / architects for our workshop panel. Visitor groups will be restricted to guided tours, limited in size (8 – 12) and pre-registered for visits (this is not an “open-house”, home-tour open invitation).  We’re seeking a variety of remodel types, from cosmetic to larger-scale remodels and from historic restorations, to tasteful modern updates. We welcome DIY homeowners, home-owner/architect-led and contractor-led homes for our panel and home tour.

Please email us at [email protected] if interested  and  we’ll send more details.

If you’re interested in home remodel and restoration whether DIY improvements or architect/ contracted remodels, you don’t want to miss this event!

Our workshop will consist of a two-hour panel of home-owners, contractors and architects providing experience, know-how for those considering or interested in home improvement restoration and remodels.  While focusing on Bungalow style homes, this workshop and tour is not limited to single-family homes, and will include both restoration and modern remodeled Wallingford homes.

When you are doing home improvement and restoration, the importance of plumbing cannot be overstated. Plumbing plays a foundational role in every household, ensuring the seamless functioning of water supply, waste removal, and overall sanitation. It’s the unsung hero that keeps our homes running smoothly. Plus, understanding the need for regular septic and drain cleaning is paramount in preserving the integrity of a home, and this workshop will offer valuable guidance on how to safeguard this critical aspect of homeownership.

Following the workshop, we are planning an elective visit to hand-picked neighborhood homes to see remodel and/or restoration work in Wallingford.

Space will be limited for both the Work-shop and Home Tour and more details are to come.

So this is not the same as the Wallingford Home tour that used to run? It’s a shame as my friends and I really enjoyed that tour for years, then they changed it to a Home and Garden tour which was not as interested to us, and now it’s a workshop and tour?
