Trunk Show at PNW Store

The Pacific Northwest Store (4411 Wallingford Ave N) (a Wallyhood sponsor) is hosting another one of the “Second Saturday” trunk sales tomorrow, May 11th, 11 am – 3 pm:

Locally renowned muralist, Ryan “Henry” Ward, has brought his whimsical artwork to apparel and paper goods. You may recognize his work since he has painted over 200 murals on surfaces such as buildings exteriors, school interiors, garages, and even vehicles – primarily in the Ballard neighborhood. [Ed note: he also did the beautiful mural on south side of the John Stanford School building here in Wallingford.]

Marijo learned to silversmith to make her wedding ring and the rest is history. “Unapologetically passionate about making jewelry,” Marijo designs and creates the Martini Metal Craft collection of refined mixed metal jewelry.

Rainy Day Bees produces local, backyard raw honey labeled by neighborhood from apiaries located throughout North Seattle and Shoreline, as well as fragrant, clean burning 100% beeswax candles. Beekeeper Peter will be at the store, offering tastes of their delicious honeys.

I started Wallyhood back in 2008, right when my son was born, because I realized I had lived in the neighborhood since 1993 and didn't really know my neighbors. I figured writing a blog about what was going on around me would be a good way to meet people and help other people do the same. As the years progressed, those neighbors have picked up the torch and it is now a group effort, which I adore. I moved out of Wallingford for a few years (2020 - 2025), but I'm back, now living with my wife, son and dog (Dillinger) up in Tangletown.
