Remodel and Restore Workshop and Home Tour

Pam August 7, 2019 Comments are off

If you are considering a home remodel or restoration project, you don’t want to miss Historic Wallingford’s Remodel and Restore Workshop and Home Tour, Saturday, September 21 (10:00 – 3:15 pm) at the Good Shepherd Center.

Wallingford, like many Seattle neighborhoods has many restored and updated homes and period buildings. But for many homeowners, the thought of remodeling, restoring or updating a home, whether a Do-it-Yourself or with architects and contractors can be intimidating.

“How do I start?” , “What permits are needed?”, “What can I do myself and what should I leave to experts?”, “How do I select an architect and/or contractor?”

Helping you to take those first steps, Historic Wallingford invites you to our first Remodel and Restore Workshop and Home Tour.  Get practical advice, design ideas, and listen to different perspectives from a panel of homeowners and industry experts and finally, get inspiration by touring hand-picked homes that have been remodeled, updated, or restored.

The Workshop will be a two-hour panel session of remodel-experienced homeowners and experts sharing their before-and-after experiences and lessons learned. Bring your questions! 10am to 12pm

Following the Workshop, the Home Tour will take attendees on curated visits through two of four hand-picked remodeled homes in Wallingford.  Homeowners/contractors will describe the before-and-after state of the remodel projects and take questions and share their experiences.  (1:30 – 3:15)

One registration / ticket per person includes both the Workshop and Home Tour. Additional Workshop-only tickets are also available.  All home-tour attendees will be assigned to a home-tour group for two, 45-minute tours.  (No Home Tour-only tickets will be available. Tour are only provided to workshop participants.)
