Wallyhood Editors on “The Wallingford Local” at SPACE 101.1 FM

Jack Jack June 27, 2023 Comments are off

If you’ve got a radio, and even if you don’t, you’ll want to tune to SPACE 101.1 FM this Wednesday, June 28 at 5pm when The Wallingford Local will feature editors from your favorite blog. (That’s us!!) Also scheduled to appear is Blake Garfield (current president of Celebrate Wallingford) who will be talking about this year’s Kiddie Parade.

The program airs live from the Wallingford Farmers Market on the last Wednesday of every month through September. There are many ways to listen:

  • Come see us live at the Farmers Market at Meridian Park!
  • Go to SPACE 101.1 FM on your radio dial
  • Stream from the SPACE 101.1 website. Click on “Listen Live”
  • If you can’t tune in to the live broadcast, the program will be archived here.

The Wallingford Local is produced through a joint effort of Historic Wallingford, the farmers market and SPACE 101 FM. Hosted by local personality Felix Banel, the show features “an eclectic assortment of guests including musicians, spoken-word artists, historians, business owners, and others.” Megan posted about it here.

The first edition of The Wallingford Local aired last month. Featured was Sarah Martin of Historic Wallingford who gave us the low-down on her organization, their current efforts and their future plans. Ben Chandler, manager of the farmers market, provided listeners with a behind-the-scenes look at market operations. And complementing the talk were tunes from Wallingford’s own Orion’s Belt.
