Open mic night Friday 6pm

You may have seen the posters for open mic night this Friday, August 4th. Only in the unique neighborhood of Wallingford would this be held in a chiropractic office. That’s right, we’re up for community in many different ways and spaces.

I stopped in and met the Sweeney Family Chiropractic owner, Kendall Sweeney, and asked about the event. Sweeney has been in the ‘hood since 2019 and expanded her space during Covid. This isn’t the first time she’s hosted open mic. The last one brought in a wonderful group of diverse neighbors for an evening of music, poetry and art. This time, Seattle artist Meghan McIntyre will be showing her work in the space.
