New Pastor at Wallingford Presbyterian

Haley Ballast December 11, 2023 Comments are off

Hello neighbors! I am a new face in a familiar place in Wallingford, so I wanted to take this opportunity to introduce myself. My name is Rev. Haley Ballast, and I am the new Transitional Pastor at Wallingford Presbyterian Church. I am a Seattle native, now raising my family in the same South end neighborhood where I grew up (Normandy Park). I am loving my new “work” neighborhood and have so far enjoyed buying plants for my office at Cedarhouse Flowers, eating a delicious sandwich from Grand Central Bakery, and drooling over donuts at Doce.

WPC has been a faithful staple of the neighborhood on the corner of 42nd and Ashworth for over 100 years, but since we’re tucked away off the main arterial streets you may have missed us. We are a warm and inclusive community of faith, with connections to Stone Soup Theatre and Family Works (our raised bed veggie garden provides fresh produce for FW in the summer / fall). This is a great time of year to come check us out, as we have many opportunities to mark the season:

  • Tuesday, December 12, 7pm: Christmas Carol Sing and Cocoa!
  • Sunday, December 24, 7pm: Christmas Eve Candlelight Service (Lessons & Carols)
  • Every Sunday, 10:30AM: Hybrid Worship Service (Zoom and in-person)

In addition to these opportunities, I would also love to get to know community members over a cup of coffee or an IPA (yes, Presbyterian pastors can drink!). Shoot me an email, [email protected] and say hello!
