A reader recently emailed us to say that some person or persons had placed hearts along the planting strip (between the street and the sidewalk) all along Bagley between 41st and 43rd. I ran up there myself, and sure enough … hearts! I’m not sure if they first appeared on Valentine’s Day, but it’s close enough for me to label this a Valentine’s Day Whodunnit.
The hearts are not a quickie job. Someone put some effort into this. The hearts themselves are made of some sort of plasticized material to stand up to February’s weather. And each has two sturdy legs to allow them to be anchored into the grass.
Anyone know whodunnit?
