Game Crafters Camp: Play, Create, Compete.  April 8th-12th

If you are a parent wondering how you will make it through Spring Break without care for your Kindergartener – 5th grader, Latona School Associates, an after school program located in John Stanford International School (JSIS) is accepting kids for spring break camp, even if they don’t go to JSIS.

Tim Sullivan, Director of Latona School Associates writes: Join us for an exhilarating week packed with creativity and fun as we delve into the world of game creation and play. Throughout the week, campers will engage in a variety of game genres, including board games, live-action adventures, and competitive challenges.  Our hours of operation are 9am-5pm and the cost is $75 daily, with the option of early care 8am-9am for an additional $10 a day.

Highlights of the week include:

  • Game Creation Workshops: Participants will have the opportunity to brainstorm, design, and share their own unique games.
  • Soccer Tournaments and Swedish Baseball: Get ready for some friendly competition on the field!
  • Board Game Bonanza: Explore and enjoy a wide selection of board games, ranging from classics to modern favorites.
  • Role-Playing Adventures: Embark on epic quests with Dungeons and Dragons and Magic: The Gathering sessions.
  • Woodland Park Zoo Scavenger Hunt: Join us for an exciting field trip where we’ll explore the zoo through an engaging scavenger hunt.
  • Wheels Day: Embrace the spring weather with outdoor activities and games on wheels.
  • Pajama Party Game Day: Wrap up the week with a cozy pajama party featuring competitive games in the gym, a game room, and a dedicated video game area (please note: time slots will be allocated per group). Enjoy delicious food, lively music, and bubbly fun!
  • World Class Fencing demonstration: LSA Kinder-Sharks teacher’s father is a world class Kendo artist, and will demonstrate his skills and teach some basic skills.
