Spaghetti Dinner Fundraiser – Friday, April 19

6:00 to-7:00 pm

Bring family and friends, come hungry for spaghetti, salad, fresh veggies and garlic bread. Learn about your local senior center and how you can support healthy aging in your community.

All dietary restrictions accommodated.

$10.00 for adults, $5 for kids 10 and under. All proceeds go toward the Wallingford Community Senior Center

Next up….The Rolling Crones – Monday, April 22

12:30 to 1:30

The Rolling Crones Singers is a women’s choral group that performs music from Broadway musicals, vocal jazz, renaissance madrigals and contemporary choral composers. Join us to enjoy what’s sure to be a fun performance! The Rolling Crones is part of Crone of Puget Sound, a social group focused on women growing older with power, passion, and purpose. This is a free event, RSVPs appreciated!

 

Ikebana Flower Arranging Presentation, Tuesday April 23 

1:30 to 2:30 pm

Mitsuko will be leading a presentation and demonstration on Ikebana, the ancient art of Japanese flower arrangement! She will share how to produce attractive arrangements based on your own feelings and expression. You can come to relax and enjoy the presentation, or bring in your own materials (flowers and branches from your yard, containers/vases, etc) to follow along with her instruction. Mitsuko Okada has been practicing Ikebana for over 50 years and has participated in many Exhibitions, Flower Garden Shows, Ikebana International Exhibitions, etc. This is a free event, RSVPs appreciated!

 

Tulip Festival Outing, Thursday, April 25, 

9:30 to 3:30 pm

It’s time again for the Tulip Festival! Join us to see the beautiful flowers and tulip fields of Roozengaarde in lovely Skagit County. After enjoying the flowers we’ll head to The Rex Bar & Grill in for lunch. $20 for members, $22 for non-members. Price includes admission to Roozengaarde, bring money for lunch or pack your own! RSVP required, call or email for more information.

 

Speed Friending Event, Monday, April 29

1:00 to 3:00 pm

In partnership with the Greenwood Senior Center’s Social Connection Project -come make new friends in a fun and fast-paced way! You’ll meet with different people for short amounts of time, and we’ll have conversation starters available to keep the communication moving.
