Bring Your Community Spirit and Support the Wallingford Parade

lbush July 10, 2024 1 Comment

We are on the final countdown to the Wallingford Parade happening this coming Saturday, July 13th starting at 11:00 a.m. at N. 45th and Bagley. This is a Seafair event and is supported financially by many Wallingford businesses.  We thank all the sponsors including Bedrooms and More, Dunn Lumber, Cedarhouse Flowers, Luna Kitchen and Bath, Keller Williams, Harold’s Lamps, Pacific Northwest Shop, Wallingford Community Council (WCC), QFC/Boar’s Head Hotdog Stand, Silver Tray Thai, CVS, Key Bank and Dick’s Drive-In for their support in making this community tradition continue, now in its 7th decade!

There is still time to participate! Go to the parade website celebratewallingfordwa.org and sign up to participate.  If you would like to help as a volunteer on parade day, reach out to [email protected]. Invite your family and friends to come watch.

Following the parade come on down to the Wallingford Playfield for a Picnic in the Park. This is new in 2024 and inspired by the gathering of neighbors and family at the Wallingford Farmer’s Market.  Bring your blanket and picnic basket or grab a bite from one of the many great restaurants along the parade route in addition to parade sponsors QFC/Boar’s Head Hotdog Stand, Silver Tray Thai and Dick’s.

This is a park-to-park event with the parade organization at Meridian Park and following the parade, people gathering at Wallingford Playfield for a picnic in the park and the awarding of the trophies. For the kiddos—the wading pool will be open!

More than 800 people have registered to participate along with their friends and family will be visiting our neighborhood—so Wallingford business owners you have an opportunity to reach out to many potential new customers visiting our community. Keep an eye out for Wallingford Musicians in the All-City Band.  Let’s Celebrate Wallingford- Be a Hero!
