Ikebana Flower Arrangement 4-week workshop
Wednesday, September 4,
3:30 to 4:30 pm

After her fun spring Ikebana Flower Arrangement presentation, Mitsuko is back for a 4-week workshop! Work along with her as you learn how to create your own unique arrangements based on the ancient art of Japanese flower arrangement. No experience necessary! Bring in your own assortment of flowers and plants to work with, supplemented by some donated flowers from Lavassar Florists, and we will have vases available if you don’t want to bring your own. Mitsuko has been practicing Ikebana for over 50 years and has participated in many exhibitions, flower & garden shows, Ikebana international exhibitions, and more. $5 for members, $7 for non-members, RSVPs are appreciated.

 

Seattle Genealogical Society Info Session & Library Tour

Learn more about the Seattle Genealogical Society! Located upstairs in the Good Shepherd Center, SGS conducts meetings, offers classes and seminars, compiles and publishes research materials, and maintains a computer-equipped library open to the public for researching family history. We will meet at WCSC and head up to their library to learn about how they can help you with your family research! Free, RSVPs appreciated.

 

 

Digital Literacy Class
Friday, September 13
3:30 to 5:00 pm

Looking to feel more comfortable with technology and grow your computer skills? Come to the Digital Literacy & Navigation Program presented by the Prison Scholar Fund and AARP! This program is designed specifically for adults over 50 and aims to enhance digital skills and confidence in navigating the online world. The 90-minute class covers essential topics such as computer basics, Zoom, email etiquette, social media use, Google Workspace, smartphone use, and online security. Participants are encouraged to bring their own laptops and devices, however, loaner laptops will be available for participants to use! Free. RSVPs appreciated

 

Scarecrow presents: A Fish Called Wanda

Jung Society Presentation

The C.G. Jung Society is on a mission to raise consciousness through fostering deep psychological and spiritual understanding of ourselves and the increasingly complex and challenging world around us. Come in and find out more about our neighbor the Jung Society and what they offer! RSVPs appreciated, free.

 

 

 

Wallingford Table at Farmers Market

Several Wednesdays at the Farmers Market in the park, west of the Good Shepherd Center, WCSC sets up a table to hand out our activity calendar, lunch menu, and talk about what we have to offer. Come by and say hi, if you see us!
