Annual May Day Celebration at Gas Works Park

Neighbor Kimberly sent Wallyhood a note about the annual May Day celebration by the Sound and Fury Dancers at Gas Works Park, 2101 N Northlake Way. At this writing, the weather is looking to be mighty fine for this local springtime ritual, so get out early and enjoy!

The Sound and Fury Morris Dancers would like to invite all friends and neighbors to join us at dawn this Thursday (May 1) at Gas Works Park for our annual May Day celebration. There will be song, dance, flowers, and festivities! This is an outdoor, family-friendly celebration with roots dating back centuries to the Cotswold region of England. It will be chilly, so please dress for the weather and feel free to bring a thermos, lawn chairs, blankets, or whatever else would make you feel more comfortable.

Here’s our Facebook invitation as well.
