Cedarhouse Flowers was established in 2014 and is named for the cedar-sided garage where it all started. Since the shop was opened, the culture has remained the same: they make lush, unusual arrangements with heart. AND they want to do whatever it takes to make their customers happy! It is owned and operated by Parnel.
Parnel first began working with flowers while attending college in Boston. In her words, “I walked into a flower shop and never walked out.” That shop was the esteemed Winston Flowers, where she quickly fell in love with the early mornings, physical work, and creativity of the florist’s life. After that, she worked with top designers in Portland, Brooklyn, and Seattle, before opening her own studio in Seattle’s Wallingford neighborhood. She lives a stone’s throw from the shop with her husband Mike, kids Maceo and Nico, and their friendly shop dog, Rigo.

Cedarhouse shares space with PETI, a boutique specializing in handmade women’s fashion, jewelry, and gifts. Come by to browse lush plants, cool ceramics, and fresh blooms as they design the day’s arrangements.
Hansen’s Florist Seattle is local and family-owned, serving Seattle and surrounding cities since 1945. They offer same-day, daily, and worldwide delivery, and are available for the local community’s floral needs for events and special occasions. They offer the freshest flowers guaranteed, and exquisite style and design backed by their prompt, courteous service.
They gladly custom-design arrangements to fit your needs, whether it be for a wedding, a funeral, or a corporate event. I have found the professional staff is dedicated and knowledgeable, making the shopping experience a pleasant one. There is a nice little courtyard adjacent to the shop.

In March, Hansen’s celebrated their 80th anniversary at the Georgetown/Seattle location and 40th anniversary at the Wallingford location, which also serves the Fremont and Ballard neighborhoods.
