Local roaster Kuma Coffee will be there with their coffee cart, so you can put that new mug you just purchased to immediate use. There will also be a raffle to win a two-hour Throw & Build “tryout class,” where you can handbuild a bowl or mug, or give the pottery wheel a spin.
The event will also feature live wheel throwing demonstrations, as well as handbuilding for kids (and anyone else) who wants to fiddle around with a lump of clay. You can even paint or carve your own tile, which will become part of a mosaic that Throw & Build will display later in the year.
There should be a wide variety of beautiful, creative, and functional pottery for sale. Even if you’re not in the market for a new handcrafted mug, bowl, or plate, this event is a great opportunity to see the studio in action and to explore the classes, workshops, and events that Throw & Build has planned for the coming months.
