One Seattle Day of Service is a citywide volunteer initiative organized by the City of Seattle. The fourth annual events will take place this year on Saturday, July 12th, coinciding with both the Wallingford Parade and Community Free Giving Day (aka Buy Nothing Day). One of the events is even specific to the Wallingford Parade–cleaning up afterward.
Below is a rundown of the Day of Service events that will be taking place in Wallingford. Pre-registration is required, so check the links below to confirm availability and to register.
- The Sparkling Wallingford Society – Beautification
Saturday, July 12th 1:00pm – 2:30pm
We’d like to pick up trash after the Wallingford Parade on 45th Street
- SPR Woodland Park – Beautification Event
Saturday, July 12th 8:30am – 11:30am
Join Seattle Parks and Recreation in beautifying Woodland Park with weeding activities and mulching!
- Accenture and Puget Soundkeeper – Beautification Event
Saturday, July 12th 10:00am – 12:00pm
Join us at Gasworks Park to clean up garbage, pick up trash, and find any other issues within the park environment that need cleaning to help protect our natural areas and waterways!! Please wear solid footwear. Protective gloves will be provided, as well as snacks and picnic supplies afterward!
- FIUTS Woodland Park – Beautification Event
Saturday, July 12th 10:30am – 12:30pm

With lots of people out and about in Wallingford, Saturday should be a fun day for neighborhood pride, decluttering/rummaging, and giving back!
