Our friends over at St. Benedict’s sent us information about the annual celebration of sausages and more, scheduled for this weekend:
It’s almost that time again… the tents are going up, the grills are firing, and the music is warming up. The Great Wallingford Bratwurst Festival returns to St. Benedict School on Friday, September 12 (4–10 pm) and Saturday, September 13 (10 am–10 pm), and this year promises even more food, fun, and festivity.
What’s new in 2025?
- An Oktoberfest twist – In addition to festival favorites, this year we’re serving up warm pretzels with all the classic sides — the perfect snack to pair with a brat or a cold beer.
- Faster lines, more time for fun – Credit Cards are now accepted at the Hamburger, Sausage, Corn/Potato/Pretzel booths, making it easier (and quicker) to grab your favorites.
- The Book Emporium – our beloved book room has expanded! Come browse books, games, and puzzles at this year’s bigger-and-better community shop.
- Local bands all weekend – From rock and folk to family-friendly tunes, the live music lineup will keep you dancing, singing, and celebrating all festival long. The schedule of performances is listed in the poster below.
And of course, all the classics you love:
The Fun Zone with inflatables, games, and a prize booth
Sweet treats from the Sugar Shack & Sweet Shop
A bustling beer garden
Local craft vendors
For over 40 years, the Bratwurst Festival has been Wallingford’s way to close out summer in style — neighbors coming together for food, music, and community spirit. Proceeds directly support St. Benedict School, keeping this tradition strong for the next generation.
Location: St. Benedict School (Wallingford Avenue N & N 49th Street)
Dates: Friday, September 12 & Saturday, September 13, 2025
Grab your pretzel, raise your stein, and join the fun — we’ll see you at the Bratwurst Festival!
