This just in: Aditi is sponsoring a Family Halloween Dance Party this Thursday, October 30th from 5–7 pm. This would be a fun chance to come visit the studio.

Located in the iconic Wallingford Center, Aditi Yoga|Wellness offers many opportunities to improve your physical and mental health and well-being. Since I didn’t know much about the services offered there, I stopped in and met with Pauline, the current Manager/Studio Director. Pauline wants the studio to be community-focused, as evidenced by their participation in the 2025 Wallingford parade.

The staff members I met on my visit were Pauline, Brittnie, and Dar, pictured here. Prior to joining the Aditi family, Pauline was a childcare provider for 12 years and also worked as a manager at Gene Juarez Studio and Spa in Bellevue. Studio acupuncturist Brittnie joined Aditi in 2019 and kept the business going during the Covid years, taking her inspiration from Aditi founder Julie Morse, who was fighting a serious illness (more on Julie below). Dar, Julie’s mom, brought a unique style of yoga to Aditi and had been described as a “force” for her dedication and enthusiasm.
Aditi means “limitless-boundless” in Hindi. When you nurture and listen to your body, your potential for personal growth becomes limitless.
According to their website, “Aditi provides an authentic yoga and wellness community through our integrated services. Our certified practitioners are known for supporting your physical and emotional well-being with compassion and understanding. Through our core value of inclusiveness, we create an approachable, non-judgmental environment in an inspirational neighborhood setting.”
Services offered at Aditi:

Pre and Post Natal Yoga: Aditi cares for pregnant and new moms with compassion and love, creating a sacred space and fostering a sense of community. The certified practitioners are known for their devotion to the physical and emotional well-being of mom and baby. Their integrated approach supports women through each stage of pregnancy and beyond.

Kids and Family Yoga: This is an inclusive environment for parents and children to connect with their community through the practice of yoga in an inspiring neighborhood setting, including pre-teen classes and a family focus.

Barre & Strength Classes: A fusion of pilates, barre, and yoga, Barre provides an incredible full-body workout. Each class focuses on the bigger muscles of the legs and glutes with a full range of motion, and strengthens the joints, stabilizing muscles with the classic Pilates pulse. This class helps create a longer and leaner body. Aditi Strong is the perfect class to build and strengthen muscles as a complement to yoga classes. Each class is designed to strategically work the entire core from the obliques to the upper, mid, and lower core, as well as legs and arms. Clients are encouraged to pick the type of weights that best suit them, and modifications are offered.
Wellness: Massage and acupuncture are also offered.
More information and class signups can be found on Aditi’s website, or just visit the studio (there is plenty of free parking) and talk to the helpful staff about services provided and the associated costs. The studio is open every day: 7 am–9 pm (Mon-Thu), 8:15 am–7:30 pm (Fri), 8:30 am–4 pm (Sat), and 8:30 am—7:30 pm (Sun). Studio manager Pauline can also be reached by email. New courses are being developed for the fall, including mental health workshops, massage treatment, and Aerobics Strong.
Origins of Aditi
After talking to the current operators of Aditi, I thought it appropriate to reflect on how Aditi got started. Julie Morse founded Aditi in July 2011, and moved the studio from their original Stone Way location to the Wallingford Center in 2019. The following was taken from the Aditi website as a tribute to Julie:
While many of you know the origin story of Aditi, some of you don’t. It all began with one of the most tenacious women to ever walk the earth.
Julie Morse was a single mom who worked incredibly hard every day of her life to provide for her two daughters. She loved her family with an unparalleled ferocity and made those lucky enough to end up in her orbit feel like part of that family.
In an attempt to improve her own health, Julie found her love of yoga and massage. She quickly set her mind to mastering both, and became a yoga instructor and a massage therapist. From there, she dreamt of creating a space where everybody could find wellness and community, and she worked tirelessly to bring that dream to life.
In the early days of Aditi, Julie continued her day job at QFC while working full time to get her new studio up and running. She taught most of the classes, gave 20+ massages a week, and still managed to be there for her kids.
Because of her determination, we have this incredible place. While Aditi is a place to do yoga and barre and get massage or acupuncture, it is so much more than that. It is a space for expecting and new moms to find a shared experience, to make mom friends, and to support their changing bodies. For families, it is a space for their kids to experience and learn to love yoga and a space for the whole family to share that love. And for the greater yoga community, Aditi has been a place to practice free of judgment, no matter fitness level, age, experience, or body type. The classes always feel like a gathering of friends where everyone is welcome and valued. There is nothing else quite like this place.
Sadly, during the pandemic, Julie was diagnosed with multiple myeloma. So while she fought to keep her studio up and running, she was also fighting for her life. Then the world dealt her another blow when her beloved sister, and her main support in running Aditi, passed away due to a brain tumor. But Julie continued to fight the way she always had. She was able to pull the studio through the pandemic and hold the community together until March 11, 2023, when she lost her battle with cancer.
Aditi continues to be guided by those who loved and cherished Julie and strive to perpetuate her mission of bringing her vibrance to the Wallingford community.
When you have completed your workout at Aditi, you can stop by across the street at Juisala for cold-pressed juices, smoothies, açaí bowls, salads, and more. Juisala is owned by Julie’s brother Jay, making it a nice family-community connection.
