As they do every year, Dick’s Drive-In will be celebrating the anniversary by offering hamburgers priced as they were when they opened in 1954. The actual anniversary is January 28, but the drastically reduced-price burgers will be available over four days at different locations. Here in Wallingford, we will have the opportunity to enjoy a 19¢ burger at the place where it all began, the Dick’s on 45th, on Monday, January 26.

Some details:

  • Date: Monday, January 26
  • Time: Regular business hours, 10:30 am–2:00 am
  • Location: Wallingford Dick’s Drive-In, 111 NE 45th Street
  • What: 19¢ hamburgers (and cheeseburgers, too!)
  • Limit: One per person present—you have to be physically present at the order window. (So you can’t get 19¢ burgers for “hungry coworkers back at the office.”)

More details, and some interesting Dick’s history, are available on their anniversary website.
