The Woodland Park Players will be presenting Young Frankenstein from March 20–28, 2026, with proceeds benefiting the arts in Seattle Public Schools. We received this notice from the WPP:

It’s Alive! From the creators of Broadway’s record-breaking musical comedy sensation, The Producers, comes YOUNG FRANKENSTEIN, a monster of a hit musical based on Mel Brooks’ classic comedy film masterpiece. This wickedly inspired re-imagining of the legend of Frankenstein is the story of the bright young doctor Frankenstein (that’s Fronkensteen) who travels to Transylvania to complete the masterwork of his grandfather by bringing a corpse to life. YOUNG FRANKENSTEIN is a scientifically proven, monstrously good time at the theatre.

Lynn from Wallingford writes: “We’re inviting the Wallyhood community to support our kids and youth by getting tickets and bringing friends, neighbors, and family along for this Mel Brooks silliness. The show has Wallingford and Lincoln High School connections aplenty. Our producer, Linda Joss, is a parent of a Lincoln High School grad, and other Wallingford neighbors/community members are in the cast and behind the scenes. Lincoln High Schoolers are baking treats for our concessions and playing percussion in our orchestra.”

All shows will be held at the Shoreline Community College Theater, 16101 Greenwood Ave N in Shoreline. Tickets are available online.

There are seven performances:

  • Friday, March 20 – 7:30 pm
  • Saturday, March 21 – 7:30 pm
  • Sunday, March 22 – 2:00 pm
  • Thursday, March 26 – 7:30 pm
  • Friday, March 27 – 7:30 pm
  • Saturday, March 28 – 2:00 pm and 7:30 pm

Note: Show runs approximately 2 hours, 30 minutes, with an additional 15-minute intermission. Refreshments will be available, including a signature cocktail.

Content Rating: Recommended for viewers 13 and older due to mature themes, strong language, and sexualized songs. Children under 13 are welcome at the discretion of their parents.
