Wallingford Real Estate Update

Wallingford single family residential real estate has been interesting this summer, with some great properties changing hands. Year over year numbers have reflected some surprising changes in the market. Wallingford is still faring better than many other Seattle neighborhoods and suburbs and although year over year quantity of sales has decreased, the median sales price has increased both on a monthly and a year to date basis.

Wallingford has some really amazing Lake Union waterfronts.

Gas Works Park is the obvious example, but the recent completion of Waterway 18 is a perfect representation of the natural beauty along the Wallingford shores of Lake Union.  Many find themselves wanting to be nearer to the waters of Lake Union, but Wallingford might not be the first obvious choice.  Most people typically think of houseboats along the shores of Eastlake, Westlake, and Portage Bay, and are surprised to learn that Wallingford has a fairly substantial population of Seattle houseboats, too.
