Shakespeare in the Park is back, bringing free performances to Wallingford this coming weekend!

Wallingford will play host to two classic Shakespeare plays, All’s Well That Ends Well and Julius Caesar. Backyard Bard presents abbreviated 1-hour productions of Shakespeare’s plays, performed by a small ensemble of versatile actors and directed by Sarah Stillion.

Wallingford welcomes Gregory Allison & Slow Meadow, two neoclassical musicians who will perform at the Good Shepherd Center on April 5th, 2024 at 8pm.

This performance is part of their 2024 spring tour presented by Holy Volcano, a record label, studio, and collective started by Allison in Los Angeles. This performance is part of a series of concerts curated by Nonsequitur, highlighting adventurous and experimental music.

After what seemed like an eternity of schedule conflicts, a window in my morning schedule finally opened up, and I couldn’t wait to rush over to Doce Donut Co to try their newest seasonal flavors.

I’ve been a follower and huge fan of this place since they opened over the summer and am well aware of the high demand. If you don’t get their early enough, you may very well miss out. Sometimes they completely sell out by 11am. I know better now to act fast.

Think you know princesses? Think again! Woodland Park Players’ production of Disenchanted delivers comic relief in a hilariously subversive, not-for-the-kiddies hit musical running Nov. 3-5, 2023.

Nominated for “Outstanding Off-Broadway Musical” (Outer Critics Circle Awards) and “Best New Off-Broadway musical” (Off Broadway Alliance), this musical is anything but Grimm. Disenchanted features a multi-cultural cast of 15 women to play these royal renegades, spanning five decades from ages 20-to-60-something. Woodland Park Players really puts the “community” in community theater, drawing on the talent of local residents from Phinney Ridge, Ballard, Greenwood and Green Lake—and of course Wallingford!
