However, whenever you see a post written by "Wallyhood", that's Jordan Schwartz, Wallyhood's founder, Editor-in-Chief, Publisher, community manager, janitor, account executive, and chief enthusiast. Jordan has lived in the same little house in Wallingford since 1993. He arrived from points east with his cat, Fourth, and has since been joined by his wife Michelle, son Zevin, chickens Dominique, Winny and Betty and bees innumerable and unnamed. So what all is going on special in Wallingford this Valentine’s Day? We already mentioned that you can tan yourself crispy for free at Tropical Tan, but did you know that Fuel has “heart-shaped Flipsides, Piepops (pie lollipops!), and our as-seen-on-TV Slab Pie!”? Put in your special order for those by Friday at 5 pm for Saturday or Sunday pick-up.

And, course, the restaurants are getting in the lovin’ game, too. Avila is offering a special menu for Valentine’s that includes baked oysters rockefeller, maine lobster wellington, and chocolate soufflé,  Tilth has beef tartare, prawn bisque and porcini vanilla brulée …

You’ve got to give it to Nadine Foster. She doesn’t do things half way. For example, if you were going to break your arm, you would probably stop there. You’d say “hey, one arm broken is enough.” We know we would.

If you were wondering why those helicopters were hovering over the U-District and Eastern Wallingford yesterday afternoon, you have no further to look than the Seattle Crime blog, where we learn that a SWAT team had surrounded a house on 52nd and 12th Ave NE with suspected bank robber inside.
