Housing Inspector

Dan writes: Did anyone else see this guy examining houses from the sidewalk this weekend [Monday on 1st NE between 40th and Pacific and Tuesday on 40th between 1st NE and Sunnyside]? Long, straight hair, a goatee, slippers and a bathrobe and he's standing on the sidewalk hovering in front of houses, peering in and the like. I saw him yesterday and again this morning. Maybe the city has issued new uniforms?

Ontela in the News

Our good friend and fellow Wallingford resident Dan Shapiro popped up in the news recently on the widely read TechCrunch blog. Or, at least his company, Ontela did, amidst rumors that they're in a $60 million deal to buy Photobucket from News Corp's MySpace. TechCrunch's mercurial Michael Arrington huffed that Ontela has declined to comment, instead "sending us to voicemail". We're sure it wasn't personal. Dan was probably just out playing with his one year old twins at the McDonald School…
