Perche Si!

Wallyhood tipster Joe alerted us that Perche No (1319 N 49th St), which suffered a terrible kitchen fire several months ago (Say it ain't so, Perche No! | Wallyhood) is re-opening May 15th! Great news, the restaurant business is tough enough without fires making it harder. We've got a note in to the owners asking for more deets and will keep you posted.

Wallingford Honey Giveaway

We're giving away Wallingford honey. We've mentioned that we have, in our Wallingford back yard, two bee hives (we chronicle our adventures in backyard beekeeping over at the Hive Mind Honey blog). Kidical Mass

Most remarkable piece of art: pencil drawing of full grown lion stretched out over and enjoying the pleasures of a well-muscled, naked man,…

Bike Rodeo

Turns out there's more going on this Saturday at the John Stanford school than just the plant sale we posted about yesterday, there's a bike rodeo! That's right, wild mustang bicycles will buck and turn, trying to throw their riders while the brave cyclists dodge their steely horns... OK, nothing quite so exciting, but still some fun to be had. Kim writes that they'll be holding a free Get Out Your Bike event this Saturday, May 9th from 10 am -…
