Christine writes that traffic should be slowing down on 40th (in the "don't speed so near my children" sense, not the "OMG, it's like 45th St at rush hour sense"): "They" (traffic cops? whatever) have set up one of those "You are going X mph" devices on 40th! it is located just west of Bagley--measuring speed of drivers going east on 40th. Hopefully this will lead to something about people driving WAY too fast on all the streets around here. :-)

Those of us living near that mighty river known as I-5 (or "The 5", to some, and "that freakin' highway" to others) may notice an uptick in construction noise. Part of the noise reduction work that is underway involves replacing the pavement, and that, as WSDOT explains, is noisy: Unfortunately, replacing the concrete on I-5 is unavoidably noisy.
