Regular Trash Pickup on the Fourth
July Fourth is a regular trash pick-up day. That is all.
July Fourth is a regular trash pick-up day. That is all.
Friday is the Fourth of July, that special time of year when cozy little Wallingford plays host to the city. Sort of the Brazil of fireworks, if you will. I'm sad that I'll be out of town for it this year (heading into the Cascades), because I get such a kick out of the whole day: stopping in at yard parties, checking out the lemonade stands, waving at the traffic. For my money, the best place to watch the fireworks is…
The Wallingford Community Council will meet on Wednesday, July 2nd, 7:15 PM at the Good Shepherd Center. Among the items on the agenda will be updates on current neighborhood issues, including WCC’s appeal of the project on the former AvTech property, updated CVS plans for the old Tully's site, and a request for a zoning exception to allow an office building on the site of the Northlake Ave. boat storage facility. Everyone is Welcome to attend and voice their opinions.

She and her husband, Donovan, love to explore the city through its best restaurants and are constantly striving to try new things together. Tara works for a major retailer by day and as a freelance writer/copy editor by night.) After the birth of our first child three months ago, my wannabe foodie husband and…

They were handed a free book (Minecraft for the 9 year old and Rainbow Fairy Magic for the 6 year old) along with a chart on which to track their summer reading and activities. Between now and August 4th, every time they log 10 activities…
Barb is posting this for her City Fruit coworker. Hey, Wallyhood! My name is Luke Jesperson and I am a rather new resident of the good neighborhood of Wallingford. I am also the Harvest Coordinator for City Fruit, a Seattle non-profit which harvests surplus fruit from neighborhood trees and donates it to nearby food banks, meal programs, and shelters. Over the course of the past five years, City Fruit has harvested and donated over 55,000 pounds of fruit that otherwise would have…
Julie Cascioppo is holding one of her variety shows ("a cross between The Dinah Shore Show and Peewee's Playhouse") at the Chapel Performance Space at the Good Shepherd Center tonight, Thursday June 26th at 7:30 pm. Two twists: it's a birthday show, and they'll be filiming a pilot for an "online TV show":
