Did anyone else experience the drone, apparently being operated from a car, on Wednesday night around 10:30 PM? My wife and I live above Open Books on 45th. We heard some excited, though not threatening shouting, so looked out the window. She pointed out a drone flying erratically over the intersection of Sunnyside and 45th on the south side of the street. The car was appeared to be pulled over westbound on 45th as I could see emergency flashers reflected in the window across the street,

When I say it was flown erratically I really mean it. It looked for a moment like it was going to git hit by a car traveling east, then it shot up higher than the old Douglas fir behind the dentist’s. The only articulate shouting we could hear was the phrase “get back in the car” repeatedly, in a kind of out-of-control mirthful way.

Anybody know anything / witness any of it?

    My goodness that sounds strange.

It was strange! Kind of disquieting at first, with these glaring two red lights whipping around. Then they became a red light and a green light, don’t know what that meant. Honestly, probably thanks to our neo-quarantine days so utterly lacking in three-dimensional entertainments, it was a little tickling, too. It broke up the evening.

CORRECTION ON MY FIRST POST– This happened on July 16. The Thursday part of it was correct. Sigh.

I wonder if a nearby property might be going on the market. Increasingly, Realtors use drones to photograph homes. Could be an agent or one of their team members prepping a sales brochure.
