Hi. Has anyone else seen what I think was an owl hunting in the neighborhood? My chicken nearly came to a gruesome death a couple of days ago. Little C Chicken, some of the Bagley bunch know her well, was crossing the street to greet my return from the grocery. I was just in time to see an owl dive at her and come close enough to score a few feathers as she madly raced to the safety of our back yard. Whew! Ehat a close encounter. She’s stayed close to home since her mad escape filled with flapping chicken wings, mad dashing, miraculous speed for an aging hen and a lot of screeching and panicked chicken sounds. I had no idea she could move that fast. Anywho….it’s an interesting topic and I’d luv to hear of other sightings.
