Cathy thank you for your contribution to this discussion. You are relentless in expressing your vision of a just and perfect world. Who couldn’t say “Thank you” for that? <heart>
We may want to be careful, though, of calling out people for “called someone a name.” We might end up in an impossibly correct, intellectually manufacturered environment.
That said, you made me revisit a previous post where I called a capitalist mountebank “Satan incarnate” and so I deleted it. Thank you for steering the arc of our communal discourse toward the better aspect of our nature.
Jordan – I hear you. Cathy’s guidelines are common to most sites I’m aware of, so there’s a good start. I’d add that “constant off-topic posts” and “repeated posts about the same topic” are disruptive to good forum operation. That would round out the guidelines I had in mind.
Some people who post here come across as pink-haired lunatics. But you can never really know and you should always be kind to everyone in your comments.
