Ed Begley Junior!

Jordan Jordan March 9, 2009 4 Comments

Ed Begley Junior is coming! Ed Begley Junior is coming! No joke, he’s coming to Wallingford!

Yes, THE Ed Begley Junior! The guy who played “Young Man” on Maude, Hank on Happy Days, Steve on Mary Hartman, Mary Hartman, Harv Schwab on Starsky and Hutch, David Philips on Quincy, Jamie on Fantasy Island, Paul Conway on M*A*S*H, Kenny on Charlie’s Angels and…

Listen people, that’s a partial list of who he’s played and we haven’t even hit 1979!

Do you know who he played on The Simpsons? Ed Begley, Junior, that’s who he played. He played himself! On The Simpsons. Have you played yourself on The Simpsons? We didn’t think so.

What’s he doing in Wallingford? He’ll be at Not A Number on Wednesday, from 6 – 8 pm, signing copies of his book: “Living Like Ed – A Guide to the Eco-friendly Life” and maybe, if you’re lucky, signing bottles of his cleaning product, “Begley’s Best Non-Toxic Cleaner”.

Seriously, people, you can’t make stuff like this up.

Ha! That’s pretty cool. I enjoyed him on Arrested Development too. I hope he brings a spare bowl of candy beans.

    this does not surprise me

in the early 90s, I went to LA regularly and EVERY time I was there, Ed would be at some restaurant I was eating at – usually in Studio City…

it was very sad when after about a dozen coincidences, Ed stopped being an extra in my life.

so this tickles me no end

It’s true! My stepmom sat next to him on a flight to Seattle last Thusday. Apparently she didn’t know who he was but he looked familiar. So she asked him… “Do I know you from somewhere. You look really familiar?”

This resulted in a nice coversation and he told her he had been in television for 40 years. Forty years, really? How is his hair still blond?

Apparently he was very nice. Welcome to Wallingford, Ed!

weird, i saw someone walking around a couple days ago, and I was all “hey, ed begley, jr” in my mind, because there was a slight resemblance. but it wasn’t him. or maybe it was!!!

on another note, when i try to say his name, it comes out “egg begley, jr.”
