Dinner at Bella Cosa

You may remember that back in March, Bella Cosa changed owners. The new owners, Jared and Bronwyn Carpenter, along with Alex Pitt, have a dream of converting it into a fine dining establishment, complete with full kitchen in the evenings, and continuing the high-end deli sales during the day.

The few times we’ve stopped in to check on progress, it’s sounded like the challenge of conversion has been steep: permits for restaurants, especially when making changes to an older building that may not be up to code as is, can be daunting.

That’s why we’re so happy to see this notice coming from Bella Cosa: for one night, at least, they’ll be offering a full four course meal:

Saturday June 20 Bella Cosa will be offering a 4 course dinner menu from 6pm to 9pm. We will feature items that are local and seasonal to our great region.

First Course:
Spinach and green garlic raviolis, fresh peas, sage from our garden, hazelnut cream
Cairanne, Cotes Du Rhone 2005

Second Course:
Wooden Hoof Bresaola salad of market watercress, parmesan shavings, extra-virgin olive oil

Third Course:
Roasted Carlton Farms Pork Tenderloin, local pluots, crispy guanciale, mustard greens
Ijalba, Rioja 2005

Dessert:
Strawberries and blue cheese with purple basil panna cotta

$30 (w/ wine pairing $35)

Our passion is food and we love showcasing the abundance of beautiful ingredients in the Pacific Northwest. We are excited for the opportunity to share our enthusiasm with the community. Hope to see you there!
