Found Cat

Jordan Jordan July 31, 2009 9 Comments

From cats lost to cats found, we got ’em all. Ben sent in this photo of a red-collared cat he found on 53rd between Meridian and Wallingford.

Truth be told, he doesn’t look all that stressed to us. Hate to get all geeky on you, Ben, but to quote the master: “Not all those who wander are lost”.

Indeed. But those that meow intermittingly for 12 hours on our sidewalk are ill at ease. They also keep the dog awake. The cat is still here this morning. The cat is not recognized by any of our neighbors, and it does seem a little lost.

OK, I’ll grant that the master didn’t say “Not all those who meow intermittently for 12 hours on our sidewalk are lost, but most are”, but he would have if it had come up.

I just saw this “found cat” poster; it’s faintly possible it’s the same cat, so could you forward the URL to Ben?

Color picture of Ginger the missing cat from the poster:

Looks like a different color tabby, but it’s possible given different lighting, cameras, etc.

Ginger has been found, safe and sound.

This cat has been hanging around our house for almost a year now (on 53rd between Wallingford and Woodlawn). For a while I thought it belonged to a neighbor on 52nd, whose back yard buts up against ours. We thought we heard her call it Rose – so the name kind of stuck with us. Now, I’m not so sure it does belong to that neighbor. It’s very sweet but it fights with my cat and another neighbor cat. I assume it belongs to someone in the neighborhood.

This looks exactly like my cat! His name is Cedar, he likes to fight with other cats and he cries constantly. He also likes to wander, spending most of his time in other people’s yards. The only difference is that he doesn’t have a collar.

    Hi everyone…

Me and my brother lost a black, male cat at 38th and Burke 2 nights ago. He has short hair, and a collar with his name “Frank” on it. I’ll try to post a photo of him.. but if you have possibly seen him, please call me.

    Thanks
