Electricity On?

Jordan Jordan October 1, 2009 1 Comment

Readers may remember that Electric Beach tanning salon on 45th St closed in July amidst a blaze of typos. Commenters, unsympathetic to their pale skinned neighbors, chortled with schadenfreude.

Well, wipe off those smirks, dear readers. An anonymous tipster reports that he heard from the owner of a chain of tanning salons that they’re planning to open a store in the space recently vacated by Electric Beach. “He didn’t say when but I saw him & a couple other guys there yesterday donning dust masks looking busy,” added our tipster.

Sounds like this time, it’ll be Kappa Kappa Gamma that does the chortling.

When I drove by today on mu lunch the open sign was aglow. Looked like the same old tanning place to me.
