Compleat Works of William Shakespeare

Jordan Jordan December 30, 2009 Comments are off

Looking for something to do New Year’s Eve outside the humdrum of binge drinking? Here’s one from My Green Lake:

Thanks to Shana Bestock (Artistic Director and Education Director) for letting us know about this upcoming amazing performance at the Bathhouse (7312 W Greenlake Dr N):

New Year’s Eve Event: Compleat Wks of Wllm Shkspr (Abridged)–ONE NIGHT ONLY!

Come support the Bathhouse Ensemble as they move forward on their artistic journey. After a hugely successful inaugural summer, featuring The Pillowman and the Northwest premiere of I Gelosi, the Ensemble is producing one of their all-time favorite plays to raise money for their 2010 summer season. This is a one night only event, so don’t miss out!

The show has an early start time of 7pm, and runs less than two hours, so you’ll have plenty of time to make it to all those fabulous parties to ring in 2010.

The artists behind this venture are the Bathhouse Ensemble, a group of college students and recent graduates who are alumni of Seattle Public Theater’s Youth Drama program. They are a collective of young, dedicated theater artists committed to independently producing challenging plays that actively draw in audiences; being an actor’s studio for the continued theatrical training of the ensemble; fostering new works and new interpretations; and continually stretching their own capabilities and the minds of the audience and community.
37 plays in 97 minutes! It’s a Shakespearean roller coaster thrill ride that you don’t want to miss!
