Great deal at Cantinetta

Jordan Jordan January 15, 2010 5 Comments

We’re not all about posting specials all willy-nilly, but $50 off a meal at Cantinetta seemed worthy:

Disclaimer: it’s one of those “social deals”, so if one more person uses that link, we get ours for free. That’s not why we mentioned it, though, just a perk.

    Unless you go in alone and spend exactly $100 it’s not much of a deal. The fine print:
    * 1 per person
    * 1 per party per table
    * Entire value must be used in one visit
    * No cash back and no cash value
    * Not valid with any promotions or offers
    * Tax & gratuity not included
    * Not valid on Valentine’s Day

    Plus Babe wouldn’t approve- they’re very pork-happy…

      I read it differently. Everytime I’ve ever been there, the bill has been way more than $100. It doesn’t have to be exactly $100 to use the coupon. If you have a $150 bill, you make up the rest in cash, but still get your savings.

      And all it seems to mean is that one person can’t present two coupons, not that the coupon can only be applied to one person’s PORTION of a single check.

    I’ve never used this site for deals before. Does anyone know if I purchase it tonight (fri) whether I can use it tomorrow night? Thanks!

    No, Elana. It looks like I won’t be able to use mine until Monday.

    We really enjoyed the food and the service, but won’t be back until they fix their acoustics problem — it was so, so loud in there that we couldn’t hear each other speaking, and we were at a little two-top. And it wasn’t even that other people were being particularly loud — it was just a houseful of normal conversations reverberating all over the place. I’d be interested to hear from others who’ve gone to dinner there, though; maybe it’s improved since last summer? I hope so —
