Quizno’s For Sale

Jordan Jordan March 25, 2010 6 Comments

You kinda gotta squint to recognize it in the picture, but that’s the Quizno’s on the corner of 45th and Sunnyside in this for sale listing on the WA Broker’s web site:

WA Brokers is pleased to present this outstanding corner location restaurant for sale in the heart of the bustling Wallingford Seattle neighborhood. The restaurant is conveniently located just a short walk from University of Washington and a short walk to North Lake Union. A new owner will enjoy easy I-5 and 5-20 access. The restaurant is well designed and boasts beautiful brick exterior and a spacious open floor plan with Large Picture Windows. The half open, half close kitchen includes a Type Two Hood and top of the line conveyer oven perfect for subs, pizzas, toasted sandwiches and calzones. The enclosed part of the kitchen includes Large Prep areas and top of the line Walk in Cooler and Walk In Freezer. A Managers nook makes a great space for office and clerical work. Take Advantage of this prime location and beautiful restaurant with excellent buildouts and equipment. Motivated Seller.

Monthly rent is $3,500, asking price is $49,000, but you are instructed to bring them your best offer.

Has *any* restaurant managed to last at this location longer than a year or two? (Admittedly, they’ve all been chain franchises.)

After Boston Market left, it’s been a blur.

Oh, are we “North Lake Union” now?

I’m actually disappointed to hear this since Quizno’s is the only sandwich place in the area. 45th street is in serious need of a good sandwich shop.

Could we get a Jimmy Johns now please? I want one on our side of I-5 so I can have their delicious subs delivered to my door!

I second the motion for a quality (independent) sandwich shop on 45th. No JJ’s please. The Subway doesn’t count either.
