May we thank…

Jordan Jordan April 30, 2010 2 Comments

Every once in a while, we like to thank the many fine businesses that help keep the lights on over here at Wallyhood, our sponsors.

We’ve got one new one to add to the list this month, Smash Wine Bar and Bistro, which, in addition to serving organic produce, natural meats, a happy hour everyday and all day on Sunday, over 30 wines by the glass as well as full bar and beer, distinguishes itself by having one of the few outdoor patios not only in Wallingford, but Seattle. Perfect spot for some people watching over a summer evening cocktail. (Follow Smashwine on Twitter.)

And, of course, we owe our loyalty to our continuing sponsors, as well:

  • OmCulture: Yoga, permaculture, community, what’s not to like? YogaLife has expanded to Wallingford and brought its energy with it! Read about our visit with Michael Suzerris.
  • Cooper Jacobs: Chances are, if you’re reading this, you already live in Wallingford. But maybe you rent and you yearn to own. Maybe you just need a different house. Want to talk to someone who specializes in Wallingford real estate? Find yourself a hidden gem.
  • Lakeside Dental: Smile!
  • Scarecrow Video: Scarecrow Video is not just one the best independent video stores in Seattle, it’s one of the best in the country. One commenter on our initial post welcoming them aboard called them the “Powell’s Books of Video”. High praise, indeed. And did you know they have 2-for-1 rentals every Wednesday?
  • Debris Free Seattle: Local guy, cleaning your gutters, washing your windows, ridding you of moss. Your gutters are dirty. If you get up the ladder, you’re going to hurt your back again. Let him do it.
  • Full Slate: This cool Seattle-based company offers an on-line scheduling tool for small businesses: clients can book their appointments on-line based on your availability. If you’ve got clients, give them a look!
  • Bedrooms and More: Another great example of why it pays to buy local: the people who own and run this store are local folks who want you to have a good night’s sleep and, while they’re at it, want to make the world a better place. Read our welcome message to get the feeling for who they are, then ask yourself: do I deserve a good night’s sleep?
  • Green Cleaning Seattle: You’re busy, you want a clean house, you care about the environment. ‘nuf said.
  • Fuerte Fitness: Not only the only gym in Wallingford, it’s the best gym in Wallingford! Specializing in personal training.
  • Kirchoff Fitness: Healthy body, healthy mind. Read the raves her clients left as comments on our intro post.

Really folks, thank you!

Smash Bar is wonderful – very generous pours. Good thing I can walk there. Also, the mac and cheese is a must.
