Forums Talk

Chris Witwer August 18, 2010 1 Comment

We’ve had a fair amount of activity on the Forums this week.  Which is awesome, because it’s all about community engagement.  And I love that.

Interested in joining in?  Maybe just lurking?  Click the Wallyhood Forums link here to get started.

Spoiler alert!  This week’s Forum activity includes:

  • MaryW and Sooz are looking to rent in Wallingford.  Responses include some local resources for renters.
  • Things are getting steamy over by the post office.  Apparently, uniforms are still sexy.
  • Ask and ye shall receive dental recommendations!  And a locksmith too.
  • It wouldn’t be a normal week in Wallingford if there weren’t some vehicular smash and grabs to report.
  • I totally love that someone used the Wallingford Forums to ask about a lear jet circling overhead, and someone else provided an answer right away.  Nice!
  • Found cat!  Black & white, and pretty hungry!

In addition to the Forums, Helen’s piece on Good Deeds garnered some real heartwarming comments about Wallingford and our neighbors.  Check ’em out here.

Wonder what y’all be talkin’ bout next week?

Was walking by the Regata (apparently intentionally misspelled) – lots of construction work going on. Talked to one of the guys in charge – he said that they were ‘fixing a bunch of things’.

For one, the buildings are settling and windows are cracking or popping out.

Fortunately for the condo owners, they sued the builder and they (or their insurance company) are paying for the work.
