Smash Wine Bar on Tippr

Jordan Jordan September 15, 2010 5 Comments

One of sponsors, Smash Wine Bar and Bistro, is the featured deal on Tippr today: $20 buys you $40 worth of food and drink. We’ve heard that these deals tend to sell very well. Some restaurants get overwhelmed in the days following the deal as everyone rushes to cash in. We heard Rain Sushi, for example, sold over 2,000 of these and struggled for a bit to keep up.

Hopefully, Smash will have the “problem” of too many customers.

Little known fact: The reason that all the tech companies just use ‘r’ in their name is because there is now a paucity of ‘e’ and ‘i’ from over-use in the 90’s and there is now a Vowel Sustainability program at ICANN.

I actually thought you were serious for a minute. I googled it. Ha.

I tried to purchase this deal – twice. Both times after hitting “purchase” the website hung and then went to an error “page not found” message. I never received any email indicated either of the purchases went through. Too bad, I would have loved to have taken advantage of this deal. I did send a message about it to their support e-mail.

Unfortunately I cannot edit my previous comment. I contacted support at Tippr about my issue trying to get the special and they responded almost immediately that they were experiencing temporary website issues. I was able to go in later and purchase the deal with no issues. So don’t be afraid to try it out for yourself! I’m really looking forward to some fabulous Smash Wine Bar yummies!
