Chickadees Preschool Open House…Come One…Come All

Shannon October 7, 2010 2 Comments

As a mother, I know that there is a stress that comes naturally with finding that perfect preschool.  Parents start planning what school their child is going to attend before they are even born, and I have heard the rumors of parents enrolling their children in preschool three years before they are ready to attend.  Well, I can honestly say that I don’t have that much motivation; but if you are looking for that one school that is different from the rest, here it is, Chickadees Preschool.

All parents, children, and neighbors are invited to the Chickadees Preschool at Tara’s Tots Open House Monday, October 11, 9:00-10:30am.  Tara Katz is the lead teacher and is encouraging the neighborhood to come by and take a look at the new preschool program in action.  The Chickadees program is a daily class, 8:30-12:30pm and has been designed for children between the ages of 12-36 months.  This program has been organized around the Waldorf philosophy where play is “work” and the natural home environment is always present.  The Chickadees program endows organic and homemade food, simple and natural toys, imaginative play, all while providing a foundation for the children’s futures.

According to Tara’s Tots:

We have created a loving “nest” for our little chickadees, a place where they can safely explore the world around them.  We want the children in our care to feel like their aunties are taking care of them and so we have created a very home like atmosphere to foster that feeling.

Chickadees is located at 6238 Woodlawn Ave North, enter through the garden gate on Meridian Ave North.  Please RSVP [email protected].

My daughter, now 8 went to Tara’s Fremont Community School ages 3-5. She entered kindergarten with a true sense of wonder and connectedness. We were so grateful to find Tara’s program. I m now expecting a 2nd after 8 years and when I am on the search for nurturing care Chickadees will be at the top of my list. Beautiful community, lovely teachers, imaginative environment.
