Breaking ground at the pit?

Margaret Margaret December 29, 2010 1 Comment

We have it on good (neighbor) authority that plans are inching forward to fill the festering pit on 40th and Stone Way N. Reader Mike tells us that he spoke to someone who will be working on the foundation; and recently, he and his fiance spoke with a Geo Engineer who said that work may start on or around January 17.  Mike told us that the neighbors in the immediate area have not yet been officially notified.

At this point, nothing is concrete (except for the crumbling wall on the east side of the pit) nor, is anything written in stone (except for maybe the graffiti you can see from Stone). But when we receive any more official news, we’ll letcha know!

Thanks for the tip, Mike!

Hopefully they’ll break ground soon. A big open pit like that is such an eyesore for the neighborhood. It the current real estate market it’s always good news for market values in a community when a new project starts up. Be sure to keep us updated on any progress of the development.
